The UEFA Champions League is one of the most prestigious soccer tournaments in the world and each season it becomes a must-watch event. Many teams have made history by dazzling and achieving success. Since the current format began in 1992, many players have shone in each tournament.
A select group of 47 players has accumulated 100 or more matches, with Real Madrid legend Raúl González being the first to reach this milestone in February 2006. Since then, an even more exclusive group of five stars has surpassed the 150-match barrier: Xavi Hernández, Karim Benzema, Lionel Messi, Iker Casillas, and the leader Cristiano Ronaldo. These are the players with the most appearances in the history of the UEFA Champions League.
Soccer is always special for any player, but playing at a UEFA Champions League is bigger than anything else. Not many players get to do so, which is why this is a very privileged list.
